Mr Emmanuel Mashava is the Director of Technical Services was appointed in July 2013. He has vast experience in local government
including working as a Director Technical Services in Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality from January 2009 up to June 2013, he was a Senior
Manager of Infrastructure at the Metsweding District Municipality from July 2007 until December 2008.He worked at the Rustenburg Local Municipality and Emalahleni Local Municipality between 2005 and  2006 as a Technician and PMU Senior Technician respectively.

He worked for G & C as a Projects Manager from 2002 until July 2005. The Director obtained a National Diploma in Civil Engineering (NQF 6) from the Vaal University of Technology, he has Certifi cates in: Executive Leadership Management Programme (ELMDP), Programme in Municipal  Developments (CPMD), Municipal Finance (NQF 7) and Labour Intensive Construction (NQF 7).

Brief Description of the Segment’s Responsibilities

Technical Services segment comprises of the following services: Roads and Storm-Water, Water and Sanitation, Electrical and Mechanical,
Human Settlement and the Project Management Unit. The Department is responsible for Planning and Provision of new infrastructure in the
Bushbuckridge Municipal area, maintenance of infrastructure of all services and operating of all Water and Waste Water Treatment Works
within the scope and jurisdiction of the Bushbuckridge Municipality. These services are decentralised and provided through the eleven
regions for the convenience of our clients and to enhance the “Batho Pele” Principles by bringing services close to the people.
