Bushbuckridge Local Municipality consists of 34 Wards. The Municipality is divided into three (03) Regions been Bushbuckridge South, North and Midlands. The Council comprises of 34 PR Councillors and 34 Councillors giving a total figure of 68 Councilors. The numbers are as follows: ANC 57, APC 5, DA 2, UDM 1, ACDP 1, INDEPENDENT COUNCILLORS 2. The Executive Mayor is Clr Milton Jan Morema (ANC), The Speaker of the Council is Clr Lerato Mashele (ANC) and the Chief Whip is Clr Reinnas Khumalo (ANC). Members of the Mayoral Committee consist of ANC Councilors.
