Ward Committees
Ward Committees have been established in all 34 wards through funding from Municipal Equitable Share 2004/2005. Their training will start in October 2006 and be completed by 30 December 2006.

Bushbuckridge local municipality should as a matter of urgency develop the following intergrated plans:

Land Use Management Plan.
Waste Management Plan.
Disaster Management Plan.

Fast-track land reform to contribute to local economic development.
Dedicate a unit to deal / be in charge of ISRDP issues.
Strengthen commitments made by sector departments with regard to anchor projects.
Farming and tourism skills must be transferred after land claims to address both economic and social tensions.
Resourcing/ Filling of the municipal organogram.
Development of a communication and marketing strategy for the institution.
