Applications are hereby invited from suitable qualified candidates for the following positions:

POST : IT ASSISTANT (2 Post)

Directorate: CORPORATE SERVICES
Remuneration: R 188029.00 per annual

Centre: HEAD OFFICE

 

Responsibilities:

A)    Responsible for IT infrastructure design and maintenance of computer network.

B)    Maintenance of “file server system” to enhance the accessibility and safety of data/files of users.

C)    Provide website/internet support to maintain the web site and to make IT available to users on the world wide web

D)    Provide strategies for new technology within internet/PC support to provide the most effective and current technology users

E)    Provide training for workstation software to empower staff to use computer software effectively

F)    Administer the security  of systems to protect the municipality’s network and safe guard council’s property by creating IT structure safe from viruses and unwarranted entries

 

Requirements:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • National Diploma in Information Technology
  • 3 years relevant experience
