POST : TRAFFIC OFFICER (5 POSTS)

DIRECTORATE : COMMUNITY SERVICES

REMUNERATION : R188 029.00

CENTRE : HEAD OFFICE

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs activities /tasks associated with the provision of a traffic and community policing services by monitoring and attending to situations associated with minimizing traffic congestion
  • Enforcing compliance and supporting emergency and rescue personnel during major disasters in order to ensure any risk to public safety
  • Contravention to traffic regulations and specific by-laws identified and corrective compliance measures enforced on offenders
  • Enforces traffic and municipal by-laws
  • Attend to scholar patrols/accidents scene
  • Conduct any other duties delegated by Chief Traffic Officer

REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 12
  • Basic Traffic Diploma
  • Registration as Traffic Officer will be added advantage
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 2 years experience
  • Clear criminal record
